The first three SJB Fast-Track Foundation modules are now available from SJB Electrical Training: Electrical Science, Earthing and Protection, and Lighting. Build your understanding from the basics or refresh ideas you use at work, with illustrated reading, worked examples, workbook activities and online knowledge checks.
Module 1 — Electrical Science
Build familiarity with electrical language, circuit paths, voltage, current, resistance, power and energy. Work through the relevant reading and examples, then explain your calculation steps and units.
Develop your understanding of earthing, bonding and protective measures. Electrical Science is useful recommended preparation; you can choose the modules relevant to you and complete the activities within each purchased module.
Connect familiar lamps and luminaires with the language and principles behind lighting applications. Use worked examples and practice to strengthen your understanding. Electrical Science and Earthing and Protection are helpful preparation, rather than mandatory purchases.
Read your booklet directly in the SJB Electrical Training app. When signed in and online, the app saves the reading page or section you open; look for “Reading place saved” and return through your saved reading link. Offline booklet and workbook downloads are optional. If you use Apple Books, switch apps or tap the SJB Electrical Training Home Screen icon to return. Offline reading positions are separate from your online saved place. Review the correct or ideal answers supplied with practice activities and revisit the explanations where needed. The online knowledge check and any tutor-reviewed work have their own completion rules.
Your access and next steps
You have 12 months for your Foundation learning; check your enrolment confirmation for your start date and deadline. The individual module price is £75. Relevant modules may be included with eligible linked-course bookings, as confirmed in your booking details. Additional modules will be announced as their public releases are confirmed.
Foundation learning supports preparation and refresher study. It does not itself authorise practical electrical work or replace the requirements of your chosen course.
