Getting started
What is the SJB Electrical Training app?
The app brings SJB Electrical Training courses, student resources and SJB Fast-Track Foundation learning together on your phone or computer. Explore courses by industry, open your learning, find equipment resources and contact the team.
Who is SJB Fast-Track Foundation for?
New learners can build a grounding in electrical principles before further training. Experienced people can refresh the basics, revisit references and strengthen confidence in the reasoning behind their work. Choose the modules relevant to your course and learning needs.
How long do I have to complete my learning?
You have 12 months for your SJB Fast-Track Foundation learning. Check your enrolment or booking confirmation for your access start date and deadline. If you need help planning your study or expect difficulty meeting the deadline, contact SJB Electrical Training early.
Are Foundation modules included with my course?
Relevant SJB Fast-Track Foundation modules accompany the relevant SJB Electrical Training courses. Your course description and booking confirmation identify what is included. This does not mean every course includes all modules. If access is missing after your enrolment is confirmed, contact the team with your course details.
Can I purchase additional modules?
Yes. Open Buy Foundation modules from Home, or Buy more modules from Your account. You can explore the individual modules currently released. Any bundle will be shown when it is available. Check the current product details, price and prerequisites before purchasing.
Reading and progress
How do I download my student packs to my phone?
Sign in, open your available module, then select Download reading booklet or your workbook download. A booklet may save to your phone without opening automatically. On iPhone, open Files → Downloads, tap the booklet and choose Share → Books or your reading app. On Android, open Downloads and choose a compatible reading app. You can also keep reading directly in the app. Opening a page does not automatically download every student pack.
Can I read without an internet connection?
Once you have downloaded and saved a student pack, you can read that file on your phone without a connection. Signing in, checking access, opening protected app pages, saving online progress and submitting assessments require an internet connection. Offline reading in a separate app does not automatically update course progress.
Does the app save my progress after each page?
When you open each Foundation reading page or section while signed in and online, the app saves your reading place to your account. Look for Reading place saved. Use Continue learning to return to your saved place. A saved reading place is separate from lesson or assessment completion.
What if my reading place does not save?
If you see a connection or save warning, reconnect and reopen the page to save your place. Do this before closing the app. A page read only in a downloaded booklet will not send progress back to the app.
Can I continue on another device?
Yes. Sign in with the same SJB Electrical Training account on each device. Your saved online reading place and recorded course progress belong to that account. Your installed phone app and ordinary browser may each need a separate sign-in.
Learning and feedback
What subjects do the modules help me practise?
The relevant modules develop and refresh electrical basics, using technical references, interpreting drawings, planning work and understanding cable calculations. Work through the explanations and examples, then apply them in the appropriate practice activities. Your module description sets out its specific coverage.
What happens if I get a practice question wrong?
Use it as a learning opportunity. Review the correct or ideal answer supplied with the practice activity, compare it with your approach and return to the explanation or reference before trying again. Where an activity needs tutor review, feedback follows that review. Follow the instructions for your particular activity; formal assessment rules can differ.
Is an ideal answer the only acceptable wording?
An ideal or model answer illustrates the reasoning and key points to reflect on. A written response may use different wording while showing the same understanding. Follow the question instructions, show calculations where requested and ask your tutor if you are unsure.
Can I repeat practice activities?
Revisit reading and worked examples to consolidate your learning. Check each quiz or assessment for its attempt and retry rules. Practice is intended to build understanding and confidence; do not assume a formal assessment has unlimited attempts.
Does reading a page mean I have passed the module?
No. Saving your reading place helps you resume. Lesson completion, quizzes and any tutor-reviewed work have their own requirements. Follow the module instructions and check the completion status in your learning account.
Do I have to study the modules in order?
Follow the order and prerequisites shown for your modules. Some learning unlocks after a prerequisite is completed. If a module is locked, check its instruction rather than buying it again.
Account and support
How do I sign in or reset my password?
Open Your account and choose Sign in using your SJB Electrical Training website account. Use Forgotten password on the website for a reset email. Open the newest reset link in a browser that is not signed in as a different account; a private window can help. Do not share your password or reset link.
How do I add the app to my Home Screen?
On iPhone, open the app in Safari, choose Share and Add to Home Screen, then Add. On supported Android browsers, choose Install or Add to Home Screen. Installing the shortcut does not sign you in automatically.
Where do I find help or course equipment?
Use Contact for support with access, study or course bookings. Partners and equipment links to the website resources for PPE, tools, books and industry connections. Check your course equipment list before buying anything.
