SJB Fast-Track Foundation — launching soon
The eleven-module collection starts with voltage, current, resistance, Ohm’s Law, power and energy. It builds through earthing and bonding, lamps and lighting, circuit arrangements, inspection and testing principles, fault diagnosis and installation design. Read first, practise with worked examples, complete the fillable workbook, then check your understanding.
£75 per module · £495 for all eleven. Save £330 compared with £825 for eleven individual modules. This is pre-course learning and refresher study; it does not award an electrician qualification or replace practical course entry requirements.
Student packs for your booked SJB course
Ask for the student pack, joining instructions and recommended reading list that apply to your booking. SJB will confirm what is supplied, when it will be available and which references or optional preparation modules you may need to purchase. Course packs differ by programme and learner role.
Use the reading to recognise everyday electrical terms, follow diagrams and prepare questions for your tutor. Bring a calculator you know how to use where calculations form part of your course. Specialist HV, Authorised Person, site-safety and airfield training require course-specific preparation and safe systems of work.

What is online electrical pre-course learning?
It is reading and guided practice that helps you understand electrical terms and principles before practical training. SJB Fast-Track Foundation begins with electrical science and builds towards circuits, protection, testing principles and installation design.
Are student packs the same as Fast-Track Foundation modules?
Course-specific student packs and joining instructions support the SJB course you book. Fast-Track Foundation is a separate online preparation and refresher collection. SJB confirms which reading is supplied with your booking and whether selected modules are included or optional.
How do I access my reading materials?
Use your SJB training account when your booking or module entitlement is active. Full learner readings and downloads stay behind account access. The front-cover images on this page are previews, not full public book downloads.
Can online study replace supervised electrical training?
Online theory supports understanding and preparation. It does not replace the practical training, competence, experience or assessment required for electrical work. Always follow the entry requirements of the practical course you choose.
How much will Foundation learning cost?
